A common question we’re asked by patients is “Are traditional metal braces painful?”.
Well, this depends on your pain threshold. But on the whole, whilst the mouth and teeth may feel sore during treatment and you may experience some discomfort after they’ve been fitted or tightened, braces are mostly well tolerated by patients of all ages.
